Classes

Nomadic Notions offers a wide variety of classes, with one occurring almost every night. Our classes are scheduled in three month catalogues, so you can either check the website periodically, or join our mailing list if you would like to stay informed about new classes being posted online, upcoming events, special deals, and so on! We also have a Teacher List so you can see all the classes offered by your favorite instructor, or just click on that teacher's name when you browse through the class descriptions. Also, check out our Student Samples page. Class students, here is your chance to show off your hard work, and gain the admiration of your peers! If you would like your piece featured on the website, just send an image to artisticimports@yahoo.com with your name, the class name, and your city, and we'll get it online!

Our classes are generally grouped by technique; below is a description of each one. Click on the technique to see a list of our current classes in that category, or just check out the calendar to see which ones are coming up!

January | February | March | April

General Beading:	These are your basic, generalized classes for beading such as bead-stringing, making earrings, beginner classes, and other techniques that don't fit neatly into any of the other categories.
Chain Mail:	Chain-mail is all about the art of turning many, many little jump rings into wearable pieces of jewelry!
Crochet	Crochet covers any technique that involves crocheting, both with wire and textiles. Most of them require no previous crochet experience.
Knotting & Fiber Skills:	Knotting is an age-old tradition, generally used for pearls, but our instructors are creative enough that we've found other uses for this technique, including fiber-crafts, kumihimo, and more!
Metal Work:	Hammering, shaping, stamping, oxidizing, and texturizing of sheet metals, metal blanks, copper tubing, etc.
Seed Bead Work:	If you're a fan of all those teeny, tiny seed beads interwoven together to create beautiful jewelry, then this is the section for you! Our instructors work hard to come up with new patterns for our avid seed beading fans!
Wire Techniques:	Wire is so versatile, you can do just about anything with it! Check out these classes if you're a fan of wire-work, metal-smithing, and more.

Another great benefit of taking our classes is that every student receives a 20% discount off anything in the store on the night of their class (with some limited exceptions). A full payment is required to guarantee your space in a class. All payments are refundable in full for cancellations made up to one week before class; for cancellations made after that one-week grace period, we cannot offer a refund, but students have the option of auditing a class for up to a year afterwards. Auditing a class still requires signing up in advance, but there is no payment required as the tuition has already been purchased. There will be no refunds/roll-overs for cancellations made by a student after the cut-off date. Please call the store at 512-454-0001 if you have further questions about audits, cancellations, and refunds.

Please notify the store if someone else will be filling in for you. It is the student's responsibility to remember the class time.

A full refund plus a coupon good for a one-time store discount will be given for any class cancelled by Nomadic Notions. Class make-up is at the teacher's discretion.
